THE LABOUR MARKET.
According to the reports in the Labour Journal, Auckland and Christchurcli are the only places whore there are many unemployed at present. In Wellington and Dunedin the number has much decreased, and in most of the other towns there are very few idle men. The Survey Department employs 1655 men, and the Public Works 1087. " During the month 214 unemployed were assisted by the Labour Department.
