Calcutta, August 22. The latest news from the frontier states that the troubles are quieting, and the Afridis and Orakzais have made no attempt to molest the British troops in the passes.
A column under Colonel Blood has been quartered on the rebellious Swatis for three days, and now penetrates through the passes to Dosirio. The turbulent" Bonerwal tribe is dispersing. Later. Colonial Blood, at present in the Upper Swat Valley, has received the tribesmen's arms and the submission of the religious leaders.
The Bonerwal tribe is reported to have sustained great losses at Laudaki, where the 12-pounders of the British completely demoralised their ranks.
