FIRE.
On Saturday night a fire broke out at the parsonage, Fendalton, in an out-house close to the main building. The glare of the flames was seen by passengers by the last coach from town, which was promptly driven to the spot by Mr Box, and timely assistance was at once given the Rev. Canon Stack in subduing the fire, which had just reached the house. Fortunately a creek runs close by and there was little wind at the time, or the property must have been destroyed.
