AN OBSTRUCTIVE MAORI.
The prophet Te Kere, who resides some twenty miles above Tangarakau, is inciting . the Natives, the Wanganui Herald- understands, to prevent the work of clearing the stream being done, the reason, as usual, being pure cussedness. The Natives on the stream and on tho Wanganui are most anxious to have the work done, and the Herald hopes that, if any Obstruction is caused, tho Government will be prompt and firm.
