TEMPLE OF TRUTH.
TO THB EDITOR OTT THE PRESS. Sir, —I am given to understand that the Temple of Truth is again to be pub under the hammer, and, if so, I would suggest to the Musical Societies to avail themselves of thia chance of acquiring a hall ab a moderate figure so eminently suited to the requirements of the musical world. The Societies, by joiuiug together, could form a Company to pnrohaas the building and carry it on as a music hall, aud let ua have promenade oonoerts similar to these so much enjoyed in Europe. The hall is in hrsb-ciass condition, wall lighted, the floor entirely covered with linoleum, the acoustic properties of the building are certainly superior to any hall in Christchurch, and there are quite a number of aide rooms which may be utilised as dressing rooms or refreshment rooms as occasion requires.—Youra, &a., Musical.
