(PRBSS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, March 7. The Amateur Athletic Club's annual (porta to-day were favoured with splendid Weather and an excellent attendance. The flat racing was quite up to the previous gathering, but the cycling events were not so attractive as usual, owing to the limited competition. In the high jump, Cole, of the Sydney Harriers, jumped sft 6in, beating the standard by lin. The following are the winners of the chief events:—l2o yards handicap—Lusk, 6yds, 1; time, 12sec. Long jump—Lash, 20ft 9in including a foot handicap. L. Richardson and Pownall, scr, jumped 20ft 6in, and the former won in the jump off. Half-mile bicycle handicap— Brodie, 60yds; time, Imm 12jcc. Mile walk—Freeth, 100 yds ; time. 7min 14sec. Five mile bicycle—Hunt, 250 yds; time, 18«nin 3»ec. 75 yards flit—Lusk ; time, 7 3-sth sec. Mile flat—H. Richardson, 110 yds ; time, 4min 39sec. Mile and a half bicycle race—G. Castle, 110 yds ; time, 3min 56 3-sth sec. High jump—Lish, sft 7jin, including bin handicap, 1; Cole, sft 6io, 2. 250 yards ladies' bracelet—McGuire, 9yds ; time, 27sec. Two mile bicycle (roadsters) r time, smin 35 l-sth fiec. 440 yards hurdle* —S. Richardeon, syd« ; time, 64sec. Three mile flat—Playle, 175 yds; time, 16min 21 4-6 th sec. 440 yards handicap—Bridge, 25yds; time, 53iec.
