Both men played sterling cricket, and the partnership was a most popular one with the onlookers. The inniugs soon after closed for 171. All the bowlers trundled steadily, and were well supported by the field. Requiring 45 to win, Cuff and C. Ridley started the Park's second venture, and knocked off the runs without disaster, Cuff again showing good form with 33. The following are the scores: — MIDLAND.
