Maluma had a strong lead at the distance, but Coil came with a magnificent spurt, and after a great finish won by half a head. Time, lmin 8 3-sth seo. OAKLEIOH PURSE, of 350 soys; second, 35sovs; third, 15 soys. Five furlongs aud a-half. Veloce, eat 71b 1 Shannon, 7st 121b .. .. ..2 Sunbury, 6st 71b .. ... ..3 Fourteen started. The three placed horses raced borne locked together. Veloce won by a short head, half a length separating second and third. Time, lmiu B£*ec. THE FIRST HANDICAP STEEPLECHASE, of 200 soys, about two miles, was won easily by Mon Ami, with TarturTe second and Joi third. Nine started. Time, "mm s'sec.
