POULTRY FOR LONDON.
TO THE KDITOE OF THE PBESB.
Sib,—We wish to emphasise your articles re the shipment of poultry to the London market. There are hundreds of persons crying out, what shall I do to make my bread? Here's an opening—a most profitable one—with a little energy and tact. We see that some quoted by you in the North Island have tried it and are highly pleased with their success, 10b 6d per pair. Now, supposing these were ordinary fowls, with ordinary care and feed, this shows well. Besides, anyone who studies the English market will know that this is not an excessive return, but one which might be expected for some monthe when the market is open. It is a pity—if that word is not too soft—the grumblers in this country do not awaken up to these simple matters of fact and help themselves,—Yours, ko., Wilson and Sons, Auctioneers.
