FIRES.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAMS.) INVERCARGILL. January 28. A fire broke out shortly after midnight in the Temple Chambers, JSsk street. W. J Smith's (printer) plant was damaged to the ! extent of about £600. It was insured in the South British office for £425. and in the Standard for £420. W. Hall's (ironmonger) stock was aeri Dusly damaged by fire and water. Latex. Ball's stock was insured for £1000 inthe Commercial Union and £500 in the New Zealand office. His loss amounts to over £1000. Budding was insured for £2500, but the damage dues not amount to more than £300. DTJNEDIN, January 28. A house at Morningion was burned down last night. It was insured for £209 iD the ' North British, and the furniture for £150 in the National Office. j
