LAWN TENNIS ASSOCIATION.

WELLINGTON, December 50. __ At the annual meeting of delegates of the New Zealand Lawn Teunis Association, it was decided that the next championship meeting should be held at NelaoD. Mr S. Hurst Seager was re-elected Hon. Secretary. Several alterations were made in the rules of the Association, the most important being that vantage sets should ba played in all championship matches. A resolution was made in respect of the tournament jusc concluded to the effect that partners in men's championship doubles must belong to the same provincial district, and confirmed by altering the name of this event to the " Interprovincial Championship Men's Doubles." It was decided that an Otago team ehould play Canterbury in Cbristchuruh at Eister, and that if possible a Wellington team should be senc down to Christchnrch at the same time. Oα the motion of Mr Harman the -Secretary was instructed to write to the Welliugton Association, thanking that Association for the excellent and efficient way in which it had conduoted the tournament just held. Mils Nunneley, the lady tennis champion, is a new arrival from England, where she played «rith the besc English players, in December last. In Euglaud she won tournament after tournament and, though she has never played in an All-Eogland championship match, at the Nottingham meeting she easily beat Miss Jackson, the ruuner-np for the All-England championship iv 1595 ; and, receiving a slight handicap, beat Mro Hillyard, the lady champion of 1895.
