THEATRE ROYAL.

"THE TWO ORPHANS." The Greenwood Company produced *• The Two Orphans" on Saturday night, at the theatre Royal. The piece was very well pat on the stage, and all the parts were excellently played. Miss Agatha Greenwood gave a very good exposition of her versatility by the really fine performance of Louise, the blind girl. In the scenes with Jacques and with La Frochard Miss Greenwood acted with much pathos and power. Miss Maribel Greenwood, who mane her first appearance this season in the part of Henrietta, displayed considerable histrionic ability, particularly in the scenes with her Bister. The thankless part of La Frochard was well taken by Mrs Greenwood, who succeeded admirably in giving us a strongly drawn picture of the hypocritical old woman. The remainder of the female characters were well filled. Mr Gourlay's Pierre was a capital piece of character acting, the part being played throughout with a great deal of care and success. Mr W. Seagrave was also good in the part of Jacques. Mr Wakefield played the character oi Armand with some degree of success, bnt was somewhat too stilted and stiff for the vivacious young nobleman. Mr Montgomery made a fairly good Count de Limeree, and Master Bob Greenwood scored a decided success as the valet Picard. The piece was well staged, the sets of the Pavilion de Bel Air and the Place of St. Sulplice being specially good. "The Two Orphans " will be repeated this evening.
