LITTLE RIVER SPORTS.

The Little River sports were held on the local cricket ground yesterday and passed off successfully. The weather was fiae, the ground in good. order, and the attendance large, includiug a number of visitors from town by the special train. Tho Christchurch Professional Band enlivened the proceedings, and a Maori haka by beveral young natives created a deal of amusement. In the evening the annual fancy dress ball formed a fitting termination to tho day's sports. Appended are the results of the competitions .-— 100 Yards Race Handicap, boys under sixteen year?—G.
