Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyrijrht. Constantinople, December 13. The Sultan has sent Kiamel Pasha a costly present of pearls, assures him of his regard, and desires him to return to the palace. The Turks attacked the position of the Christian malcontents in Crete, but were twice repulsed, losing thirtyfive. December 14. Although several of the Sultan's staff have been dismissed, the Palace clique still dominate. The concert of the Powers only amounts to an agreement that no separate action shall be taken with regard to Turkey until a common policy is found impossible. The second gunboats have arrived in the Bosphorus.
