TO THE EDITOR OF THE PRESS. Sir,—For general traffic oar streets may be voted in very cood order, but not so for bicycling. Owing to the method now adopted of throwing very rough metal into depressed parts, and the roiling left to ordinary ti_tiie, there is a terrible unevenness, which is severe on wear and tear of the " bikes. : ' I am not far out when asserting that the sum invested in cycles is greater than in al! the carriages, cabs, carte, &a., on our ro.ids. Hence the claim of cyclists to some special consideration from the city authorities, x think if the steam road roller were put to run on that portion of each street next to the side channels, a good run could be given to cyclists, who would keep thereto, thereby minimising dangers of accident. Cyclists would thus be induced to ''keep to the right," and much comfort would be gained at a small expense.—Yours, &3., Cyclist.
