ATTEMPTED MURDER AND SUICIDE.

Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright Sydney, June 9. A tragedy is reported from Camperdown, a western suburb of Sydney. Ezra Abrahams, a Jewish lolly vendor and a married man with a family, became infatuated with a Miss Goodacre. He pestered her with his attentions, but she refused all his advances. The couple met in the street this afternoon, and she endeavoured to avoid Abrahams, who drew a revolver and fired three shots at her, the bullets lodging in her arms and back. The ruffian then fired two shots into his own abdomen. Abrahams is in a critical condition, but the girl, though seriously wounded, is likely to recover.
