ACCLIMATISATION.
The Curator of the Southland Acclimatiiialiou Society has placed a quantity of trout fiy in a stream at the head of Paterson's Inlet (Stewart Ithud), aud alio at George Sound, on the West Coast, in the latter case through tho kindness of the Union Steamship Company, who gave him a free pass for that purpose. The Secretary reported that twelve opossums had been placed iv the bush on Stewart Island through the assistance of the Bluff Harbour Board and Capt. Seollay, aud tho name number at Milford Bound through the aid of the Union bteainship Company.
