THE FIJIAN CRICKETERS AND THEIR DRESS.
TO THE EDITOR OF THE PRESS. Bra,—lβ it a fact that the native members of the Fijian team playing against our representatives at -Lancaster Park on Friday and Saturday next, are to appear on the crioket field in their native costume, which is, I understand, of a very scanty order, consisting of one garment only, viz., a sash worn round the waist? If so, I think our Association should suggest the addition of a little more clothing, as the match will probably be witnessed by numbers of the gentler sex, whose. feelings will receive a rude shook upon the appearance in the cricket field of the Fijian* in their native •kttlre.—3Tours, Aα, Modesty.
