(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) DUNEDISr, February 2. The cricket match between the Fiji team and Otago was played to-day on the Carisbrook ground. The day was fine and warm but overcast. Thd wicket was in fine order, though the outfield was oa the soft side. The visitors'7 won the toss and sent the local men in to bat. Baker and Clarke, who first represented Otago, carried the score to 33, when Clarke, who was playing rashly, was caught. At 45 Rattray, who filled the vacancy, was also caught. Ac 87 Parker, who partnered Baker, mot " a similar fate," and Fisher \Tit3 bowled without scoring. Currio then joiued Baker. and, the pair took the sbore to 147, when . Baker was bowled off his pad, having made 80. Kiuvig, the incomer, was bowled without scoring. At 165 Ourrie. was- bowled. Spraggon put on 21 and Stronachß. Dawes w;i3 out leg before, the innings closing for 197. Tho Fiji team were first represented by Udal find Efeli, Hope dismissing the latter when one run had been scored. Collins was the iucomer, but at 23 U.lal was bowled, and with one run added Collins had also to leave. At 27 AJcOwan played Hope on to his wicket. .Naiiovolovo joined Ka.davu Levu, and at 31 the latter was. stumped.
