Jijaptain Chatfield, of tho Mararoa, states ", nat on the trip from Dunedin to Lyttelton, i ind again between Lyttelton and Weiington, ho found a current of nearly two (tnots letting from the South. A strong iorrent is always expected daring and after ittoh a gale as that of tb-i paat few daye, but fcptaiu Chatfield has never experienced one to strong as this was.
