BLOUSE BODICES.

Blouse bodices are chiefly made of taffetas, with enormous baliooii sleeves, and trimmed with guipure l&ce on chiffon. ' I have also seen some exceedingly elegant evening blouse - bodices, made entirely of white guipure over white satin. No sleeves, for these are changed to match each skift over which they are worn. Chiffon over coloured silk also makes pretty evening blouse bodices. Gream over mauve looks very pretty, especially if the ftkirt be also mauve. The bodice may be made bouillonnes instead of in gathers or plaits. The sleeves should be of the under colour, and they are met with cream coloured kid gloves to match the chiffon. A white watered silk skirt, with sleeves to match, is lovely with a white guipure blouse. Aceri*e velvet ribbon may then be tied round the waist, neck and arms. With a striped blouse, the skirt should be of one of the colours of the stripes; and, vice versa, when the skirt i> striped the blouse should be of the same colour as one of the stripes on the skirt. Light coloured blouses are worn with dark coloured skirts, both for day or eveuing costumes. I have also seen some pretty day cos*, tumes composed of silk, muslin and taffetas bodice, with woollen skirts. Here, however, bodice and skirt should agree In colour. . White Eton jacket?, with a silk chemisette beneath, are also worn with daik coloured woollen skirts, and look pretty on young figures.
