ADDINGTON LIVE STOCK MARKET.

All classes of stock were well represented at the yards to day, and there was a good attendance.

Fat Cattle—There was, a good entry of fat cattle, so far as numbers were concerned, but the quality wa3 not np to what it has been of late, cows forming almost the whole of ihe yarding. Prices were easier by at least 10* per bead, and best quality can only be quoted at about 23s per lOOib. Messrs Miles and Co., Limited, sold heifers at £5 7s 6d to £7 10s, cows at £5 to £7. ; Messes Wilson and Sons sold cows at £5 2a 6d. SIR F. C. Tababt sold steers ac £7 10s to £10 12s 6(3, cows at £5 15a to £7 10a. Messrs Todhcnter and Jennings sold steers from £6 17s 6d to £S, heifers at £5103 to £8, cows £5 17s 6d to £7 7a 6d. Messrs J. T. Fori> and Co. sold cows at £7 123 6d to £8 2s. Messrs H. Matson and Co. sold 29 head steers at from £8 10a to £« sd, heifers from £5 7s 6d to £6 7a 6d, cows £4 12s 6d to £7 sa. Messrs Pynk and Co. sold 17 head as follows :—Heifers £4 10a to £7 2a 6d, cows £4 13s to £6 123 6d.

Stoke and Dairy Cattle—There wae a large entry of dairy cows, including a consignment of handy sorts, of Jersey and Ayrshire cross, from Otago. Competition was not active, but a fair amouut of business was done. There was again a large yaidiug of store cattle, including eeveral lair lines of two and a half-year-old stock, and most of the lots were quitted at late ratfes. * Tire New Zealand Loas act Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, bold steers at £5 5s to £5 12s 6d, heifers at £4 9a to £5 la. Messrs George Kiso and Co., Limited, sold yearlings ab 21s to 403, eighteen months steers ab 55a to 575, two-year-old heifers up to £5. Messrs Todiicnteb and Jennings sold a line of eighteen-nionth-old heifers at £2 14:, a line of weaners at £1 183, yearlings at £2 10s 6(1, two-year-old steers at £5 7a 6d, eighteen-month-old heifers at £3 7s, fifteen-month-nld do at £2 2a 6d, store cows £2 10s to £4. Messrs Wilson and Sons sold store cows at £4 103 to £6 7s 6d. Mr H. B. Sorenskn sold dairy cows at £6 153. Messks Geo. King and Co., Limited, sold dairy cows, iucluding a line from Ocago, at £4 to £9 153. Messrs Wilson and Sons sold dairy cows ab £1 15a to £7 10a. Messrs Todhuster and Jknnings sold cows and springers from £5 2s 6d to £8 10a. Messrs H. Matson and Co. sold cows and springers from £4 15s to £7 ss.

Pigs—The entry of pigs was an average one. There was & better demand than last week and pi ices improved somewhat. Best baconers and porkers may be quoted at 3£d per lb. - Mr H. B. B. Sorensen sold porkers at 20a to 29a. Messrs Wilson and Sons sold porkers at 18s 6d to 27s 6d, baconers at 293 6d to 355. Mv E. G. Stavelev sold porkers at-183 6d to 23s 6d, baconers at 33s to 41s, stores at 10s to 14s. Messrs Todhdnter and Jennings sold 106 pigs aa follows :—Baconers from 34s 6d to 475, porkers at 18s to 265, stores at 9s to 15s. Messrs H. Matson and Co. sold 141 pigs as follows:—Best baconers at 40a.t0 455, medium at 30s to 37s 6d, porkers at 19s to 26s 6d, stores at 10s 6d to 17s. Messbs Pyne and Co. sold 39 pigs as follows:—Baconers at 32a 6d to 395, porkers at 23s to 26s 6d.

Store Sheep—There was a fairly large yard Log of store sheep and for all the classes - yarded there was a good demand. Crossbred ewes and lambs sold at 7a 3d, all counted-; crossbred hoggets at 8s 2d to 9a 7d and four-tooth wethers at 11s 6d. Messrs Todhunter and Jennings sold 760 crossbred hoggets at from 7s lid to 9$ sd, and 1239 crossbred ewes and lambs (shorn) at 63 6d to 7s 3d, all counted. Messrs H. Matson and Co. sold shorn merino ewes and lambs at 12s 2d. 'Messes Fyne and Co. sold shorn two-tooth crossbieds mixed at 7s 6d to 8a sd, fourtootha at 9a 6(1 to 11s 2d.

Fat Lambs—A fairly large entry of fat lambs was quitted at all prices from 9a to 123 6d. Messrs Miles ano Co., Limited, sold fat lambs at 9s to Hβ. The New Zealand Loan and Mbbcantile Agency Company, sold best lambs at 10a 4d to 12* 7d, others at 7s 10k to 83 6d.

Fat Sheep—There wae a full yarding of fat sheep, the bulk of which was crossbred ewes. There were bnt few pens of prime sheep or merinos. At the opening the demand was not active, and prices were if anything a shade easier than last week.
