A SCENE IN PARLIAMENT.

Sydney, October 25.
A question was asked in the Legislative Assembly to-day, whether prior to the last general election copies of Hansard containing the speech of Sir G. K. Dibbs on the hanging of Montgomery and Williams, for a violent assault: on the police, were distributed in the Tatuworth electorate at the country's expense. Mr J. N. Brunker, the Colonial Sec retary, replied that fifty copies were so sent. Sir G. R. Dibbs then walked across the chamber to winre Mr Brunker sat, aud is reported to have said, " This dirty work is got up by the Government. You have a lot of dirty sneaks here, and if you are guilty of putting them up to this, you oughc to have been hanged long ago. , '
The Colonial Secretary complained to the Chair, ani then followed the ex-Premier, who was leaving the Chamber, and threatened to chastise him if he repeated the insults. Sir Gr. R. Dibbs invited him outside to try. The intervention of members prevented active hostilities.
