Yesterday in the Auckland Board of Education, Mr Wilding, one of the members, moved—" That a Court of Appeal be established for the bearing ahd settlement of any disputes whioh may arise from time to time between the Board and memb.rs of the teaching staff. Such Court of Appeal shall consist of three members, viz , one nominee of the Minister of Education, one member of the Education Board, to be chosen annually by that body, and one gentleman to be chosen annually by tbe Auckland Branch of the New Zealand Educational Institute r that the Board's solicitor be instructed, to.draft simple rules for the conduct and guidance of such Court of Appeal." Mr Wilding considered there was considerable necessity for the establishment of such a court, which was desired by the teachers, and which would in the opinion of' the Minister for Education avert the necessity for legislation. , The motion was lost after discussion, only the mover voting for it.
