PRODUCE, &c. Tna New Zealand Farmers' Co-opera, tivb Association or Canterbury, Limited, report for the week ending Friday, March 9th, 1894, as follows :— A fair amount of business has been pas*, ing iv grain and produce during the week. Values for wheat show no improvement, but the quality of new crop coming forward induces holders of last season's to maintain their position. With tho exception of a small percentage, the new crop shows much weather, and passes off only as fowls wheat, but sound parcels have fair competition. Oats show no improvement, and buyers are apathetic in the face of restricted outlets. Barley—Tho position is uuchanged and quantity on offer is limited. Beans are vow offcriug, but growers as a rule aro indisposed to accept prices offered. Tho market is fully supplied with peas, which moot with limited demand. Ryegrass is firm at quotations, aud specially good seed commands more money. Cocksfoot is practically devoid of speculative demand, and buyers operate only to fill orders. Tho market is cleared of hams and bacon, and fully supplied with dairy produce. Present quotations are : — Wheat—Old Pearl and Tuscan, nominally 2s Bd, 2s 9J ; Hunter's, 2s 7d ; new crop, la lid, 2s 2d. Oats—Milling Canadians, Is 91, short feed, Is 7d; Duns aud Danish, Is 6d to Is 7d. Barley—Prime malting, 3i 8J to 4a; medium, 3s 4d to 3a 8_; Cape, 2s Id to 2s 2d. Bluo Peas—3s Id ; partridge, 2s 9d. Rye Grasa—Old pasture machine dressed, 4s; ordinary, 3s 6d to 4s; farmers' samples, 2s 3d to sa. Cocksfoot—l4lb per bushel, 4d; 131b, 3_d; lighter, 3d to 3_d. Cheese—Large, 4d ; loaf, 4_d. Bacon and Hams —9d. Kxpoita for the week aro as follows:— Wheat 5093 sacks, oats 6955 sacks, seed 3398 sacks.
