LICENSING COMMITTEES.
—•. .- » SOUTH-WEST WARD. The quarterly meeting of the South-west Ward Licensing Committee was held at noon yesterday. Present—Messrs J. P. Jameson, C. P. Hulbert and F. Trent. Sergeant-Major Mason represented the police. . Mr Loughrey appeared in support of an application for a transfer of the license of the White Horse Hotel from John Toovey to D. Christie. Grant-d. Mr Cassidy appeared for Mr Frank Fletcher, who asked for a transfer of the license of the Shades Hotel, Hereford street, from J. E. loglis. Granted. The police report upon all the hotels in the South-west district was favorable.
