Press Association-By Telegraph-Copyright, London, March 7. The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 3,076,000 quarters, and for the Continent 828,900 quarters. A March shipment of Australian wheat baa been sold at 25s 64, At the wool sales the lower grades are dull, but there is good competition for medium sorts. The market shows signs o£ improvement, and a better tone is exhibited. Tbe wool sales are brisk. Prices are firm, and for medium sorts slightly improved, (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) NELSON, March 8. Hop picking is now practically completed.. The crop is on the whole very fair.
