Dibfos bas wired to Mr Patterson objecting to the positiou taken up by the Victorian delegate at tbe Postal Conference in reference to butter freights and mail contracts. Sir George cous:ders the question of freights should not. be allowed to interfere with the mail contracts and requests that Mr Wynne be instructed to retire from tha position he has taken up. Mr Patterson has replied etatmg that be considers the question of freights more important than that of the mail contracts, and declines to interfere with the delegate.
