SERIOUS BUSH FIRES.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAMS.) BULLS, February 26. The houses on the Bridge road had a narrow escape from destruction by a bush fire on Saturday. In the Sandon district bush fires were also raging on Friday and Saturday, and the utmosb difficulty was experienced in keeping the flames from several of the farm houses and woolsheda. The damage done to the grass aud fences is very great, and the loss to farmers will be heavy. STRATFORD, February 26. Serious bußh fires sprang up all over the district on Saturday. Several houses and a large number of sheds, fences, aud haystacks have been burned. A repetition of the great fire of ISB6 was only prevented by the rain which fell on Saturday night.
