THE HUMBLE BEE.
Oar Ellesmere correspondent writes that humble bees are now very plentiful and can lie seen on a sunny day in large swarms hovering over the clover paddocks. The very large proportion of young bees is very noticeable and appear to be very active. A aettler last week took two nests and put them in a box for removal to h"i3 estate in the Auckland province. In one of the nests begot over fifty young black bees and about the same number of bees uuhatcheJ, while - ijuite a large number made their escape.
