The following were the scores made at the third and fourth car bin ecompetitions by the E Battery for the Champion Belt and Handicap series, the distances being 200, 30Q and-500 yards :—
Third Competitjow—Corporal Taylor (10) 75, Sergeant Lowry (4) 73, Captain Jackson (scr) 69, Bombadier Cropp (4) 66, Gunner Fox (8) 66, Quartermaster-Sergeant Dougall (scr) 65, Sergeant Were (5) 58, Gunner.Vauderlyn (20} 58, Gunner Lester (fecrj 56, Gunner Maine (15) 51, Bombadier Searle (4) 51.
Fourth Competition—Bombadier Searle (5) 75, Sergeant Were (5) 74, Captain Jackson (scr) 71, Gunner Lester (scr) 69, Bombadier Cropp (4) 66, Gunner Main (20)66, Quartermaster-Sergeant Doogall (scr) 57. The first competition in the second round for the Associated Range Corps trophy was fired at Bromley on Saturday afternoon between teams representing the Canterbury Engineers and the College Rifles. The result was a win for the Engineers by 19 points. The following are the scores, the ranges being 200, 300, and 500 yards :— Caxtesbcby Engineers — Quarter-Master-Sergeant Bevendge, 72; Sergeant Middleton, 64; Sapper Phillips, 63 ; Sapper Parker r 60; Sergeant-Major Midgley, 56 ; Corporal Bridgman, 55; Lance-Corporal Swanston, 51 ; Lance-Corporal Smith, 51 ; Sapper Morrow, 51; Sapper Jack, 45. Total, 568.
