THE AUCKLAND TEAM.

The Auckland representatives arrived in Chriatchurch early yesterday morning from Wellington, and proceeded by the express to Dunedin, with the object of obtaining two days* practice on the Otago ground prior to the interprovincial match with that province, whiahjs to be played on Saturday and Monday next. A match has been arranged between a team from the various men-of-war now in Lyttelton and a team from Lancaster Park to take place to-day, commencing at 2 p.m. on Lancaster Park. The Caragoa'e band will be attendance. Lancaster Park will be represented by Bates, Board, Cuff, Cooke, HaselL Loughnan, Lafferty, Meares, Pavitt, Stevens, Wilding ; emergency, F. Waller. The Boys* High School team 'played the Waitaki High School at Oaraara on Friday, and won the match by 98 runs. The scores were:—Boys' High School, 90 and 80 (Sims 39 and 16, Shirrifk 15 and 20, (Delamare 15); Waitaki High School, 47 and 35 (Holmes 20, Hayes 18, Delautour 18). Manson and Sims'bowled well for the Boys' High School, Manson taking eleven wickets for 27 runs; Thomson and Delautour for Waitaki. The fielding on both sides was good. Ashburton met Geraldine at Geraldine yesterday. Iv their first innings, Geraldine knocked up 144 run? (Beckett 39, H. W. Moore 27, F. W. Fish 18, W. M. Moore 16). When the mail left Geraldiue Ashburton had scored 35 for five wickets, A. Buchanan 10 being the highest scorer. The foilowiug will represent the Combined Bootmakers against St. Albans on Saturday at St. Albans:—Forsyth (3), Tattersall, YViletead, Savage, Parkyn, Harvey, Maurice, C. Lafferty and McFarlane.
