ENTERTAINMENTS AND SOCIAL GATHERINGS.
— » On Thursday evening the lady employees of the D.LC entertained a number of their friends at a social gathering in Hobbs' halL There were about fifty couples present, and dancing was kept up with spirit till an early hour. During the evening some excellent vocal selections were given, a duet by the Misses Holloway being especially appreciated. On concluding hearty cheers were giveu for the Committee, Misses Burgess, Campbell, and Holloway, who had carried out the arrangements in so satisfactory a manner.
