The proportion of reserve to liabilities 52.56. Consols, 9S£. Three months bills are discounted at 2£ per cent., with the market flat. New Zealand Four Per Gent. Inscribed Stock, 105£ ; Three and a Half Per Cent, ditto, 95 New Zealand long berried wheat ex warehouse is firmer at 28s; South Australian wheat ex warehouse is firmer at 29s 9d ; Victorian do, 29s 4d. Frozen mutton, first quality, 3|d - second quality, 3|d. Lamb, first quality, 3§d. At the auctions, 74 bales of New Zealand hemp, good to fair quality, from Wellington, sold at £19 17s 6d per ton. At the Bradford wool sales there is increasing business, in view of the London sales. Sugar—German beet, £15 lis 2d ; Java is firm at £17 7s. Chili copper, £43 per ton for cash ; tin, three months' quotations, £80 10s; No. 1 best Scotch pig iron, f.o.b. in Clyde for cash, 42s 3d.
