MUNICIPAL NOMINATIONS.
.»_ CITY COUNCIL. The following nominations were received for the City Council seats yesterday :— North-west Ward —Arthur Appleby. North-east Ward—Thos. Gapes. South-east Ward—E. Smith. South-west Ward—Messrs W. W. Collins and J. T. Smith.. Richmond Ward—Messrs Bunting and J. A. Flesher, There being no opposition in the North* west, North - east and South - east Wards, Messrs Arthur Appleby, T. Gapes, and E. Smith, the retiring Councillors were declared duly elected for the respective wards. The polling for the south-west and Richmond wards will take place on Thursday, 14th inst., for the former at St. Michael's school, and for the. latter at the Foresters' Hall, Vogel street, Richmond.
