COURTENAY.
The quarterly meeting was held on Tuesday, September sth tustaut. PresentMessrs T. H. Anson (Chairman), J. Gough, C. Rudd, T. NeeJham and H. Holland. The Chairman read the Inspector's report on the licensed houses in the district. Transfer of the publican's license for the Kirwee Hotel from James Whittington to John S. Butcher was granted. A complaint affecting the general management of the DarSeld Hotel by the licensee was heard, and the licensee was ordered to pay the costs of the witnesses in the case. The Committee also required that he should provide another lire escape for his house as recommended by the Inspector. This being all the business the Committee adjourned.
