KAIAPOI.
The quarterly meeting of the Kaiapoi Licensing Committee was held at noon yesterday at the Court house. Present — Messrs R. Coup (Chairman), W. Eckersley, and E. Felcwick. The report of the Chief-Officer of Police was satisfactory. An application to confirm the (Chairman's'temporary transfer of licence of Kaiapoi Hotel from R. Manning to R. Purchase was agreed to, the Committee having been furnished with a good report on Mr Purchase's ability as a licensed victualler.
