The Gisborne High School Act Further Amendment Bill was read a first time and referred to a local Committee A Select Committee, on the motion of Mr Montgomery, was appointed to consider all the Labour Bills introduced. The Oamaru Loans Consolidation Bill was read a first time. The Payment of Members Bill was sent back from the House with a ter-hnical amendment, which was agreed to. v OTAGO HAKBOUB BOARD. The Otago Harbour Board Empowering Bill was committed. Mr McGREGOR, who had charge of the Bill, proposed several amendments, the principal one of which was giving to the Board power to Bell a lease subject to the payment of the valuation of the buildings and other improvements. After discussion, progress was reported, and the amendments, which have the effect of virtually making the Bill a new measure, were referred back to the Select Committee for reconsideration. poisons bills.
