"NEW ZEALAND TURF REGISTER. 1892-93."
The "New Zealand Turf Register" for the season ending July 31?t last made its appearance yesterday morning. This will be welcome news to sportsmen, and especially to the many who are just now visiting Christchurch for the Grand National Meeting. The "-Register" is brimming over with valuable information, which includes reports of all race and trotting meetings in New Zealand, tables of winners of principal events in Australia and New Zealand, entry lists for closed classic events, registered colors, blood stock sales, racing statistics, index to running and trotting horses, and rules of the totalisator. The work appears to have been compiled with great care, and is no doubt the most complete of Its kind ever published In the colony. Seeing that the past racing season only came to a close ten days ago, the compilers must have kept their work well in hand. The "get-up" of the "Turf Register" leaves nothing to be desired, and reflects credit on the printers and publishers, the Christchurch Press Company. The " Turf Register" can be obtained at this office and at all booksellers.
Mr J. E. Henry, the C.J.C. h«nd.capper, came down from the North on Tuesday for the National Meeting.
