WELLINGTON, May 15.

A meeting recently held of the Wellington branch of the New Zealand Medical Association, attended by seventeen doctors, passed a resolution that the accounts which had appeared in the daily papers of Mr Ballance's illness and of the operation were incorrect, and the meeting was of opinion that the illness, which was malignant stricture of the bowels, was adequately dealt with, but the patient had not strength to rally from the shock. They considered that the post mortem showed the position selected for the artificial opening was the best that could have been choseu.

The Post flatly denies that the description of the Premier's illness published by it was incorrect. The Press aud Times point out that they published nothing but were supplied officially.
