RE T. w. MAUDE.

The Official Assujnee said that they would take the estates in their proper order, and that of Mr Maude's was the first. He had no report to submit at present. There was one matter which was in the hands of Mr Wilding, and they were getting on with that as last as possible. It was in connection with the Lyttelton Times shares. They had had two sittings and were going on again that afternoon; they had nothing at present to report on the matter. They were simply collecting a mass of evidence, and upon that evidence they must determine in the future what action should be taken.

Mr Cowlishaw suggested that it would perhaps be best to adjourn the matter. The Official Assignee said they were now in the matter of Mr Maude's estate. In respect of the furniture of that unless some resolution were passed'dealing with it he would~__ve"to-Tealise it in the usual course as. an asset of the estate. He was not otherwise justified in putting it off any longer. Mr Cowlishaw said he considered it would be best if a motion were moved that the question be postponed, and the Official Assignee be requested to take no action for realisation of the furniture at present. Most of them were in this position. All or most of them represented absentees, and they would like their principals to receive the statements which had been filed before the creditors here decided upon any action of realisation.

The Official Assignee asked if it were wished that the matter should be postponed.

Mr Cowlishaw moved— *• That the realisation of the household effects and furniture ol the debtor be postponed until the next meeting, to be called by the Official Assignee." Mr Wilding seconded the motion, which was carried.

The meeting then closed.
