CHRISTCHURCH.
Friday, May 12. (Before R. Westenra, E«q., and Captain Deighton, J.P.'s.) Larceny.—Francis Chisuall (18) pleaded guilty to having stolen, on January 20th, a saddle and bridle, valued at £2 ss, the property of Strange and Co. He had taken the things from a shed in a paddock on the North Belt, and it was found in his possession lately. He was remanded until the following day, pending the report of the Probation Officer. Alleged Wife Desertion. — Patrick Connor, charged with wife desertion, was remanded till the following day to be dealt with by the Resident Magistrate.
