There was a fair entry of stock to-day and a good attendance. Fat Cattle—The entry of fat cattle was equal to the requirements of the trade, and a clearance was effected at late rates. Messrs H. Matson and Co. (associated with the National M. aud A. Company of New Zealand, Limited), sold 4 heifers at £6 15s, 2 at £6 10a, 4 cows at £5 7s 6d, 1 at £5 10s, 1 steer at £6 12s 6d, 2at £8 2s 6d, 3 heifers at £5 12s 6d, 3 at £6 6s, 2at £6 17s 6d, 2 cows at £6 17s 6d, 1 do at £5 2s 6d, 3 at £5 7e 6d, 9 heifers at £6 10s. Messes Pyne and Co. cold 2 cows at £6 17s 6d, 1 at £5 15s, 1 heifer at £6 17s 6d, 1 at £5 17e 6d, 1 at £6, 1 steor at £6. Messrs Miles and Co., Limited, sold for a client, 1 cow at £5 15s. Store and Dairy Cattle—There was a small mixed entry of young store cattle, but the demand was not active. Dairy cows were sent forward in fair numbers, but there was a poor demand, and a considerable pro?ortion of the entry was passed. Messrs 'yne and Co. sold 5 two-year-old steers at £4 ss, 9 yearlings at 27a 6d, cows at £2 10s to £4. Messrs Todhunter and Jennings sold a number of store and dairy cattle at current rates. Stobe Sheep — Ihere was an average entry of store sheep, but the sale was not particularly satisfactory. Crossbred lambs sold from 7a 6d to 10s, and 13s Id was obtained for full-mouthed breeding ewes in lamb. A line of email halfbred wethers made 9a 3d to lls 2d. A line of sheep from Blenheim, which had buffered from the weather and the long travel down, were unsaleable. Messrs H. Matson and Co. (associated with the National M. and A. Messrs Miles and Co., Limited, sold for a client 292 merino ewes at 2s 2d. Messrs Todhunter and Jennings sold for a client 634 crossbred lambs at 10s ; for a client 200 crossbred ewes at 12s 6d. The New Zealand Farmers' Co-operative Association, Limited, aold for Mr J. G. Engst 50 merino wethers at 10s. Mr F. C. Tabart sold 312 crossbred lambs at 9s 7d.

Fax Lambs.—There was again a small entry of fat lambs, and a few extra good pens brought enhanced prices. Olher sorts were dull of sale. Messrs H. Matsok and Co. (associated with the National M. and A. Company of New Zealand, Limited), sold 1 lamb at 20s, 27 at 13b 3d. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, sold for Mr J.
