Mr Edward Terry, comedian-, sailed in the Ophir for Melbourne, under engagement to Messrs Williamson and Musgrovo. He visits New Zealaud. THE IMPERIAL INSTITUTE. The Prince of Wales has paid a Visit to the Imperial Institute. Three hundred guineas have beeu paid for the use of houses in Queen's gate (late Kenaiugton road), S.W. S overlooking the route the opening procession will take. THE AUSTRALIAN ARTILLERY AND CAVALftr TEAMS. The Queen reviewed the Victoria Horse Artillery team aud the New South Wales Cavalry team at Buckingham Palace to-day. After the introduction Major-General Sir J. C. Cowell, Master of the Household, said that the Queen was very pleased at tne manner in which the men had acquitted themselves, and she hoped their stay iv England would be a pleasant one. THE ROYAL MARRIAGE. The Duke of York atid Princess May had an enormous ovation at the Royal " Drawing-room." THE LORD MAYOR AND THE POPE. The city Aldermen passed a motion oendemmug the Lord Mayor's toasb to the Pope at the banquet to Cardinal Vaughau. The Lord Mayor, Alderman Kniil, denied that he had exalted tbe Pope above the Queeu, and regretted that he had been misunderstood. MARKING COLONIAL PRODUCE. Lord Kimberley, adoptiug the suggestion of Lord liibblesdale, moved in the House of Lords for the appointment of a Committee, including Lords Wiuchelsea, Oualow, and Caningtou, to consider the question of marking colonial produce. The Kaiser has admouished them as their opinions are uujust to Italy, and he has forbidden the clergy to interfere in politics. THE PAPAL ENCtCiiICAL. Rome, May 9. The Austri&ns, Belgians aud Spanish yielding to the Encyclical issued by the Pope have consented to discuss the question of disarmament.
