Tuesday, May 9. (Before C. A. Wray, Esq., R.M.) CrviL Cases. —Brosnahan and Power v T. R. Oldfield, claim £4 14s. Defendant paid £3 10s into Court. Judgment for £3 18s, less the amount paid into Court; A. Webster v Thomas Connolly, claim £3 10s, for seven weeks' wages at 10s a week. Plaintiff, a lad of sixteen, had stayed without engagement, at defendant's farm, and "done occasional jobs. He now claimed wages. For the defendant it was urged that the lad's services were not required. He had for six years, off and on, been iv the habit of hanging about defendant's premises, and any work he might have done could only have been a small recompense for his " tucker." Judgment for defendant, with costs.
