JUNIOR FLAG MATCHES.
North Canterbury played Kaiapoi Second At Rangiora, and won by the narrow margin of 1 point, the scores being 8 points to 7. For the winners Fitzgerald kicked a penalty goal and A. C. Wiimot got a try; aad for Kaiapoi Higgins and Templeton secured fries, one of which w&s converted. The match Sydenham v Pirates was won l>y the former by 3 tries to nothing. Tries ■were obtained by H. Petrie, A. Lawrence and A. Forrester. For the Pirates Thompson and Whitley (backs) and Chambers and Tayler (forwards) played well, and for Sydenham Collins, Fellow and Hart (forwards). The Sydenham backs played with good combination. The match JFTu Ahuriri v East Christchurch, after a fast, open, and exciting game, resulted in a victory for the latter by 26 points (2 goals from tries, 1 potted goal, aud 6 tries) to 12 points (2 goals and 1 try).
