W ANGANUI. May 5. At a large and representative meeting of the Liberal party held lasb night ib was decided, after discussion, that Mr A. J. Parsons, ex-Mayor, should be the Government candidate for the Wanganui electorate. The Conservative candidate ha 3 not yet been selected. DUNEDIN, May 5. The Colonial Treasurer arrived this evening, and proceeds to Invercargill tomorrow.
