LINWOOD TOWN BOARD.
m An ordinary meeting. of this Board, adjourned from Monday, August Ist, was held on Friday, Commissioners Bergh (Chairman), Pentecost, Dombrain and Atkinson being present. Apologies were received for the absence of Commissioners Smith and Brunt. Correspondence was read from Lady Atkinson, thanking the Board for its expression of sympathy on the death of the late Sir Harry Atkinson. Received. Treasury, forwarding balance of subsidy for 1891-2. The Chairman stated that the common seal had been affixed to the deed of concession to the City and Suburban Tramway Company. After passing accounts, the Board then sat as the Local Board of Health. Letters were read from the Church Property Trustees, an reply to the Board's letter re nuisance on Church land in Phillips street, stating that, the land had been sold to Mr T. H. Papps. It was resolved to communicate with Mr Papps re the nuisance. Mr TtP. E. Wright, in reply, asking the Board to fill up his section in Hereford street, so as to get rid of the storm water, and charge him with the cost. The Clerk stated that the surplus road chippings, &c, were being deposited there. Approved. The Inspector's report was read and dealt with, and the meeting terminated.
