Miners' Conference at Glasgow recommends an advance of 6d per day, the raising of a fund to assist the Continental strikers, and the restriction of the export of coal to the Continent. Received May 19th. 7.30 p_n. London, May 18. Amongst those who spoke at the reception given by the Cardiff laboring classes to Mr J. fi. Wilson, Secretary of the National Amalgamated Sailors' and Firemen's Union, on his release from prison, was Sir Charles Dilke. After referring at some length to the circumstances connected with Wilson's arrest and imprisonment, Sir Charles moved "That this gathering accord a hearty welcome to Mr Wilson on bis release after suffering unjust imprisonment." The Labor Electoral Congress have extended a hearty welcome to Mr Wilson, and they recommend that he allow himself to be nominated for the Deptford scaD in the House of Com-1 moas in the interests ol the Labor! party. ■
