Business in the import market since our last report appeared has been of a quiet abaracier, ana but few transactions nave mussed which call for special notice. The deliveries of goods since the _sth ult. have been of a disappointing nature, and the trade are confining their purchases to the supplying of immediate requirements. Engagements falling due on the 4th were met with pleading promptitude. The Opawa has arrived from London, and brings a heavy cargo of £_ner_l merchandise, many lines of which should oome to a good market. The Wellington, which arrived in port on loth ult., bus not yet finished discharging, and this delay has caused some inoonvenieuce to eonslgnees. Licnejuice cordial, ginger wine, and clarets meet with steady trade sales.
